Hi

I work in a neuro rehab ward and am thinking of becoming a clinical nurse specialist. But I have a couple of questions. What does a CNS do and do they still take a patient load?

Yes, CNS still take patient load and are expected to monitor patients.  They also are expected to help lead other nurses and communicate with doctors or other teams.  Sometimes they even participate in research and help develop improvements in patient care.  A very difficult but rewarding job.
