I'm looking at getting a tattoo that represents nursing although there are 2 types that seem to have quite different meanings. There's the rod with the 2 snakes and the wings (Caduceus) and then there's the single rod with 1 snake (Aesculapius). I've been researching them and apparently the 2 snakes and the wings has some negativity behind it although a lot of the websites say that no one cares anymore and that they're both used as a nursing symbol. Is it true that no one cares anymore or is it still quite controversial? HELP!
