The SA Department of Health is offering scholarships for the study of contemporary nursing and midwifery practice to country and metropolitan enrolled nurses, registered nurses and midwives who are employed within the SA Public Health Sector.        

Scholarships are available for the following areas:

  • Country Post-Graduate Clinical Nursing and Midwifery
  • Metropolitan Post-Graduate Clinical Nursing and Midwifery
  • Mental Health Nursing; and
  • Enrolled Nurses Diploma (Post-Enrolment)

Scholarships will be determined upon application with a condition that the recipient is currently enrolled/enrolling in relevant clinical studies, is receiving no other funding support and the studies will benefit the South Australian community.

The scholarship application must address how the recipient will utilise knowledge and skills in contemporary nursing and midwifery practice. Research proposals, conference and in-service attendance, student amenities fees and textbooks are outside the scope of these scholarships.

Applicants of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander origin and accepted as such in their community, are encouraged to apply.
