Hello, 

I found out that the TAFE enrolled nursing course for 2014 will be fee free.  I completed the literacy and numeracy test and was told that there will be hundreds of applicants for only 20 place per college.  Due to the numbers, it seems that there is a high chance that I may not be chosen.  Obviously I will do my best to get it, however, I would like a backup. I have seen that 'Careers Australia' have a course that costs $22k.  This is a hefty sum.  Does anyone have any recommendations about private colleges who teach enrolled nursing?

I too am looking for the enrolled nursing course outside of tafe...

There are some schools that have the option of Vet Fee Help, so you eventually have to pay the cost of the course, but not until you start earning over $50K pa and even then its only a small percentage of your wage.

If nursing is the career you want then this is something I would suggest, its what I am doing starting this year through Health Skills Australia.

I'm currently studying at Navitas; Health Skills Australia, and absolutely loving it. It's a private nursing college. I believe it's around $25,000 to complete the course, however as a student you are offered VetFeeHelp, which allows you to begin paying off bits and pieces once you start earning $60,000 per year. I hope this helps :)
