Hi Swizz,

I couldn't believe how expensive course fees were either. I am actually going to be studying through Careers Australia in Brisbane. I start my course in January. Careers Australia actually participates in a government program called VET FEE HELP, it is basically the same as HECS but for people studying through the TAFE or Vocational Education System.

You will have to search high and low as not all TAFE's and Colleges participate in the VET FEE HELP program. But basically all of the fees are covered by the loan and you don't have to pay anything back until you are earning over $43'000. However it does not cover textbooks and and equipmet you may need.

Anyway Swizz, I don't know where you originate from, but this is worth looking into if you are having trouble finding the money to pay for your course.

Or do i just contact my nearest TAFE institution.
