I have spent a good few hours on the internet looking for some form of distance education for enrolled nurses. Apart from the college of nursing there seems to be very little out there. I would like to know if anyone knows of any courses as I live very remote (island remote) and really want to do some form of study. Would appreciate any responses.
Cheers

Hi Kirby,

I live in Katherine in NT and am currently undertaking the EN certificate course externally via Charles Darwin university. I completed first year of the degree program at Griffith University in 2001 but for family reasons coudl not complete it at that time. Now that I'm living here in Katherine I decided to go back to study and enrolled in the EN course. I'm happy for you to email me if you would like to about it. My email address is mindil@westnet.com.au

Cheers

Hello everyone!!I am currently studying via on line conducted by University of SA,But I am an EN with Medication Endorsement prior commencing the undergraduate course.I anticipated to grasp for the next level as i do enjoyed my nursing career even though it is limited. They say it'smore responsibility being a division 1, I guess they are right,However, I wanna know my limitation besides, life is full of responsibility. Why not make a good out of it.

Molly , I am in Brisbane too. I was considering doing this course at Tafe soon but was concerned how i could hold down a full time job and study full time also. This would really solve that issue. How difficult was the course to do through open learning?

Hello Dawn2 ! Sorry I just read your message to me. I worked full time and did my studies. It is possible if you put your mind to it. I managed to fit every thing but I had to give up some things. It was not to bad if you have a study buddy which made it a bit easier for me. By now you could go to TAFE 2-3 days a week and finish your EEN within 2 years. It was difficult to study but in the long run it was worth it. May I ask what part of Brisbane you are living North or South, just wondering?
