Hi All,

Currently I'm work at nursing home as Cert IV medication endorse. In my work i Do Medications, assess care plan, talk to LMO and another alied health and etc. I really want to further my study but I'm not which one that more demanding in the future. Few of my RN friends said that government try to demolished RN in the future and try to have EN instead. But my other friend said that they try to demolished EN and having RN instead.  So, i  bit confused now. I'm worry if i do RN, I'm not be able to cope it. And also i confuse is it different between EN and EEN. Which one that allow to administer Meds in Hospital ?. Thank you for help in advance.

An EN is an enrolled nurse without medication endorsement,  the way the course use to be structured several years ago didn't allow for administration of meds. EEN is an endorsed enrolled nurse that allows you to administer meds.

Doing the Diploma of Nursing would get you into the nursing workforce sooner as a nurse and allow you to study to be an RNwith credit towards the degree.

I think many more jobs will be available for EENs as they cost less and now can do so much more than they could compared to yrs gone by so hospitals and other facilities will hire mor ENs. RN will still have a place for more specialised feilds (CCU, theatre etc) and be in wards with patients with higher medical needs.

im currently completing a EN course (which is medically endorsed) All EN's are endored now so you wont need to look for EEN course
