Hi everyone, Ive enrolled into the diploma of nursing at TAFE NSW. Im already an AIN so I have some experience but Im terribly worried about the pre entry maths. I suck at maths!

Are there any EN's or students here that can help me? How hard is the test? Is it online or at the campus? Is it timed? Do I need to know measurements, etc?

Also what would your day involve as an EN? Im specifically going to stay in aged care as I enjoy it but Im guessing my training will be done in a hospital.

Thanks, L

The pre-entry maths test for the Diploma of Nursing at TAFE NSW can vary in difficulty, but it's designed to assess your basic mathematical skills, such as fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages. The format of the test depends on the specific TAFE campus you're enrolled in, but it's usually either online or paper-based, and it may be timed. Yes, you may need to know basic measurements, such as metric conversions and calculating dosages. As an EN, your day-to-day responsibilities may include taking vital signs, assisting with personal care, administering medications, documenting patient information, and communicating with other healthcare professionals. During your training, you may be placed in a hospital or aged care facility, depending on the program's requirements and your personal preferences, see more..

I just want to follow up on this thread. I'm also planning to take the exam. Is it hard?

Yes it is a difficult test. As long as you are properly prepared and mentally ready you should be fine. I think it is more of a confidence issue, if you feel you are lacking in math, maybe go find a tutor who can help you through what you struggle with. That can go a long way in helping you understand and be more confident when it comes to test time.

Speaking of the tutor you can take help from reliable writing service and it will be cheaper and more reliable.
