Hi Everyone, I'm really excited about starting a Tafe Course to become an enrolled nurse.  I'm currently 33 weeks pregnant so will prob start later this year and am in process of finding the right course for me.  However, friends of friends have said that there are no jobs and they know 3 people out of work struggling to find a job as an enrolled nurse.

In your opinion, are there many jobs for enrolled nurses (I'm in VIC)?  I can't see how there would ever not be a need for them!

Sorry if this has been asked hundreds of times already.  I had a look and couldn't see anything recently.

Thanks :)

I have always had plenty of work and there are always a lot of jobs advertised . You might find it hard initially when you finish as you will be a new grad , but that's when you have to make sure that you stand out when you are on your placements . Always remember that when you are on placement that they could be your future employer.. aged care is always a good place to get your foot in the door. good luck with it all

Don't listen to people, i think the problem is with the approach. There are plenty of nurse jobs which demands to be out of your comfort zone. Good Luck!!
