I've applied at Port Adelaide and I'm getting so nervous waiting to see if I get in. Now ice been reading these for mums and it seems I had no chance, seeing people with higher qualifications than me get knocked back. All I have behind me is year 12. Has anyone gotten in with just that? What score did you get in the TABS test? Also does anyone know when they send the offers out? I was told January but that doesn't give me any time to organise daycare.

I got in last year because someone dropped out and i was asked the day before the course started if i ws interested! i had to decline because i was going to Europe when placement would have been on. In my experience, I got straight into Charles Darwin University for RN (round 1 offer - deferred) but i found tafe harder to get into for some reason. I suppose i did go to uni less that 5 years ago so I didnt have to sit any STAT test or anything. Have you checked the eligibility? I think having SACE is fne and then it all depends on your TABS results. Have you checked SATAC? because TABS results are already up so you can check how you did.

Hello, I missed out on being considered for the first intake in the Dip. of Nursing, as I did not read the fine print regarding doing the TABS test! It's done now, had to drive to Victor Harbour to sit it. Friday SATAC will let us know if successful or not to have made it in the 2nd round? The more I read, the more I realise how competitive it is to do this Course. Anyway, what I really want to know is what you got in your TABS test. I got 80% for Literacy and 72% for Numeracy. Was my first time ever to sit the test. I have 2 diploma's (in beauty therapy)and I am 45 years old. Good luck girls

I didn't get in either :( my year 12 certificate from QLD doesn't count in SA so I have to do a cert 3. I wish SATAC told me when I handed it it, and then again when I rang to confirm that it had gone through ok, because I only put nursing options down. I've changed my options for second round offers so hopefully I get into a cert 3 and then I can start EN next semester. Huge fail from SATAC though, I range before I even applied to make sure I had the right a certificates, and was told twice I did, and had a lady who works in that area also call to find out and she was told I had the right certificates as well, and we've both called several times since offers came out to find out why I didn't get one, and from the 7 phone calls between jus been told 4 different things. They really need to get their act together. Sorry, rant over.

Hi...Just new here. I sat the TABS test last Tuesday 15th Jan 2013. Just wondering how long it has taken others to get their results and where do you find them? SATAC website? (I've tried to get an answer from SATAC via e-mail, but no reply as yet...grrr) Or are they e-mailed to you via your e-mail address supplied when signing up for TAFE? Thank's everyone :)

I sat the TABS on the 17th January the results was in my SATAC account online the very next day. The second offer for this course will be available in our SATAC account tomorrow morning 9am. Look on the left hand side of your SATAC page for options.

When you go to the satac website there is a ble box and red box, the red box says Tafe, click on that, the. It will say something like Tafe 2013, in a red rectangle, click on that and it will take you to the log in screen.

Hi Net,I double checked with the TAFE when I did the TABS test that they would immediately send my results to SATAC, because I knew how late I was in doing it. Try calling them tomorrow and see what happened. I have just checked SATAC again (about 10 times today) and I AM IN, Yippee, my offer is there now to do the Dip. Of Nursing at Port Adelaide. Good luck everyone, I may see you there.

Congratulations. Did you do a cert 3? I still don't understand why they won't accept my yr 12 graduation, it says that's all you need on the website :(

Hello Shanutzeh, thank you. I have a couple of cert 3's and 4's and 2 diploma's in beauty therapy, salon management, and small business management. I am oldish (45), I did not have a certificate 3 in health or aged care, but beauty therapy has lots of elements of caring to it and health. I must of did ok on the TABS as well. I highly recommend study to get a good result on TABS, learn simple algabra, simple weights, volumes (eg the volume inside the cylinder=) But dont give up, have you looked at the certificate 4 in community services? (was my plan B if I did not get into the Nursing), it looks like community services and nursing cross over. I am sure if you got into that Course which is much easier to do, I would be 100% sure you would get into Nursing 2014.

I thought I did ok on my TABS. I got 96% for literacy and 95% for numeracy. I got into cert 3 in pharmacy, so hopefully that's enough to start nursing next semester.
