So I am going to info sessions for 2 colleges here in Adelaide (RDNS and ANMFSA) in early May for a June start and while there I have to sit a literacy and numeracy test to see if i am eligible to entry.

Has anybody taken these tests? Are they hard? Should I study beforehand? What should I study? Does anyone know the pass mark?

I am really nervous and not sure where to start. I really really want to get into one of these courses so i cant stuff this up!

Hi there. I recently took the vetassess with a pass. If English is your first language then you will find literacy and writting fine. I did study maths before the exam. Just brush up on things like decimals, fractions, percentage, BODMAS etc. Im happy to email you some great study material if you like.

you need to get a min score of 20/40 for numeracy + literacy and i think its just a satistfactory for writting.

My score was 28/40 maths and 38/40 literacy.. not bad for someone who didn't complete year 12.

Its all multiple choice but time does go fast so dont waste time on questions you dont understand just take the best guess.

Cant help with the test sorry! But was wondering what RDNS and the ANF charge to do their course? Does it come under vet fee? Id really like to do it but cant afford upfront costs.

I don't think either of them offer vet fee help unfortunately. They do offer payment plans though I think which is what i would be doing. The only one I can find that does do vet fee is careers australia but it is much more expensive like 13 and a half thousand.

Hi i am sitting my literacy and numeracy exam on the 25 th July and haven't studied in many years have just completed cert 4 in community service and cert 3 in aged care. i work in aged care now for 3 years.do you know any online maths test i could do to help me ????

Hi there, I was googling for the literacy/numeracy test for the dip of nursing and found this thread :)

I'm sitting the test for the two places Rdns, AMNFSA the OP mentioned and a bit worried about the maths section.

Hey guys im so so sorry I havnt checked this post in a while.
I've noticed a few of you would like me to forward the study material for math.
I will email all of you tonight :) hopefully im not too late.
Also does anyone know where I can upload this material like a public storage site?
