Hi evilwitch18 How did you go at Mayfield today. I was also there today for the information session and testing. I was really nervous as it was the first test I have sat. How did the Mayfield test compare to the Vetassess test. Were they the same. I am not too sure how I went, I know I have at least 3 stupid mistakes on the maths. Am kicking myself.
Talk soon Anthea

Hi! Anth I brought my Vetassess exam result yesterday, but in the literacy part, they didn't accept it because it was 1 mark less than needed. So I have to sit in their test. It was easier than Vetassess, Vetassess is harder because it had more questions and less time allocated. But with Mayfield test, at least I have some spare time to check my work again, it is not as strict as Vetassess. Also, I've got their phone call today and tell me I passed the test, so I will go for interview that Tuesday. I wish you all the best and have a good night.

Hi evilwitch18 Yes I to got a phone call and am going in at 10.30 for my interview on Tuesday. I was very shocked to get a call so quick. Did they tell you what you got or just that you had passed. I forgot to ask. Anyway now I will have to start studying interview questions. It never ends. Are you already working in aged care. I still can't believe they called so quick.
anyway maybe see you on Tuesday Anthea

Hi! Anth I'm shocked at well, they called so quick because they said it need to take 1 week. Anyway, I asked them do I have to prepare anything, they said not really. I don't know why. Do you remembered they said if you already working full time means that you are not eligible for traineeship, is it means that in related work such as aged care, how about if I'm working full time but just in office, am I eligible or not? I didn't ask for my result as well, but I will ask on Tuesday, I don't think I can see u cause my time is 3:30pm, but you still can leave message here see how is it go. Good luck.

Hi evilwitch18 I think they said that you are eligible if your working it was just if you had a Certificate 3 or higher within the last 7 years. But she also said you could still do it but the employer doesn't get any benefits. If you working in an office and as long as you don't have any certificates 3 or higher then you will be good. Thats my understanding, not 100% sure. Well good luck on Tuesday and hopefully we will met on the first day.
Cheers Anthea

hi megan! well at the moment i just finished my first week of acute care clinical placement at frankston hospital at 4gn a surgical and medical ward and i love it, its so exciting. ultimately i want to eventually do my div 1 but i probably just want to have a year out of studying and just work for a while before going back into full time study. at the moment im trying to find a grad program but im scared, monash and dandenong hospitals are looking for grads in ED but im sooo scared about applying because im scared i dont know anything, its so daunting. but i like the surgical and medical ward its busy but balanced if you get what i mean. not too hetic but busy. :D i

Hi Finah, Great to hear things are going well! When do you finish up? Are there many hospitals that offer grad programs for Div 2? I remember when I went for my interview with Healthtrain they said Grad programs were becoming more popular. Is it difficult to get a spot? Where are you going to apply? Just while I think of it do you know of anywhere you can buy second hand nursing textbooks? I got my booklist the other day and I'm happy to buy new books but the odd used one would be good to save a little money!! Anyway let me know how things go getting into a grad program! Megan

Hi! Guys Yeah! I need to find an age care to do the placement, it need 7.5 hours per week, they said ring up some age care places around your living area and ask to see whether they are high level care something like that.

Hi all im back sat for the test div 2 waiting result how sad it is that we have to put through all this when we can be taught just like we were taught as PCA and be used. Thats why everyone wants to take one step further and upgrade their skills.Health train test is shorter and so much easier than vetasses with more concern on maths BECAUSE YOU NEED IT YEAR 9 STANDARDS FOR MEDICATION. they will take 2 yrs of your life so no holidays no stories of my children being sick no excuses You have to be devoted and that is what nursing is all about on time/reliable and precise job agencies out there will pay for any english classes and maths tutorials needed. speak to them because holmesglen nursing dept has no bloody idea how to assist people im bloody fed up with how things are run nursing hasnt changed it will never.Crap management shit from other staff. vetasses test simple yr nine maths and english some common sense problems read it the bloody answers are there if you have the bloody time. you dont have to be a scientist to do the test they take immigrants who pay first they come first then its us the bloody losers who actually live in here that dont get a chance to do as we are disgraced for using governments money wanting everything for free Hey wake up in the end we will pay it all back and take it over to overseas. DIV2 is another word for using you as PCA workers at hospitals so dont be tooooooo proud. I see how they work and get told what they have to do and pushed around omg they should complain but why should they and the others now it. Its amazing what money does to companies reminds me of private schools where the pass rate is excellent if the teachers didnt hand the answers to them lol. Job placements omg speak to anyone and trust me they will take you in that minute cause its no pay work they will love you to death. councils, try locally and you call that a problem they will take anyone that works for free. LIsten communicate is the key and too much confident is not tolerated shitty pooohy smells slimy dentures sheets reeking of urine /feceas thats what you do you become a PCA over again no matter what the thing is all the nurses cant even speak english where is vetasses/health train/Mayfield and thier interviews wake up and dont neglect the elderly and trust me they do i have seen so much crap that it is not funny. speak you say for how many of them im so disgusted in the system/education/ work that wanting to be part of a team as pca or div2 nursing makes me sick to my stomache. Hope you guys will make the bloody difference i want to buti cant do it alone try you tube see what people really think of aged care and we are part of it.they all know their parent is not bieng looked after properly or blaming the government. so conclusion work your but and dont know your rights and listen to what they tell you while the others sip their coffee and complain they have todo paperwork and trust me they dont and the next person on shift then does it and here merges stress work as a team what team if you do you will be doing all the work while everyone else will worry about their breaks or already have been and you had no idea and you miss out hows lol omg its a bloody joke eveythign sound sooooooo beautiful try telling the truth please. lets here it for once Nalan thats a turkish name turkmusun?
