I am currently working as an EN in aged care and i am looking to work in hospital s which i currently work on a casual basis but would like to work on either a part time or full time basis , so i can build up my skills and experience, i am not endorsed nor i am thinking wanting to do my endorsement, i was wondering if someone can help me advise me on how to get a job as an EN as i have been looking everyday at www.seek.com.au www.careerone.com.au and all the other career job work sites

I'm in WA, not sure where you are, but I looked at a local hospitals website last night and clicked on the careers tag, this took me to a link with the listings for all the government hospital and organisation vacanices, maybe if you google 'vacant government nursing positions (in your state)' or something along those lines, something might come up.  Maybe just do what I did and look at a hospital near you and see if there is a link for employment there.  Good luck.

I think the only way you can improve your chances of getting more hospital work is to get your medication endorsement.

You need to get your medication endorsement

Be nice to me, I may be your nurse one day. Remember - needles and catheters come in sizes that I get to choose!

Try doing a grad program. Highly reccommend doing your endorsement -not just for yourself, but for working with others - It aint easy looking after 10 different patient's medications yourself because your partner isn't endorsed!
