I have my cert 111 in aged care as well as being a therapist assistant. Presently I am working as an ain in a remote aboriginal aged care facility in western Australia I am from Geraldton WA I am here on a 9 week contract.(yes an amazing experience). Having spent most of yesterday googling online study it would appear GCIT is the only facility offering online study for Diploma in nursing. Does anybody know of any other Tafe,s offering study and do you have to live in Qld to do this course. Thanks Deb

I am currently in my 2nd semester of this course and thoroughly recommend it!! You do not have to live in Queensland to do this course. I have made friends in this course that come from NSW and Victoria. You do have to make yourself available for three residential schools at the TAFE each semester - the first two semesters are for 2 weeks each and the last residential school is for 4 days. When you have to do your placements they will try to find somewhere close to where you live. Elaine
