As I am currently living in Canada at the moment. I am wanting to find out if any nurses who have worked overseas in non nursing jobs for a while and then came back to Australia to work as nurses again? I would like to find out when applying for the job and then working, how much support was given to assist you in developing your experience and confidence again on the ward you work on?
As my experience is one year of Cardiac Surgical experience during my Grad Year then I went overseas and I am concerned if I return that I may not have support to regain skills and confidence in a ward that I am interested in working for. Whilst living in Canada I am not working as a nurse due to their regulations, so I am trying to fulfil other goals here but also concerned about my nursing career back home.
