Wanting to know what the guidelines are relating to enrolled nurses taking blood, I know we are able to take blood if we've completed a course in phlebotomy but my question is. My boss where I work wants to teach me to take to blood so I can do bloods in the clinic, If I'm taught on the job and marked off as competent by the medical director of the clinic does it now become my scope of practice?
