Hello all! I have been employed as an LPN for four years. I would like to acquire a position in management eventually. However, I don't know how to get there. I don't want to be an RN in the true sense of an RN. I don't want to work nights (although I know I won't be on the shift forever), weekends, and holidays. I did this in the LTC setting and hated it. My family life suffered, and I will NOT do that again. I have no qualms in getting my RN if need be. I recently enrolled in a bachelors degree program for Healthcare Administration. I don't want to waste my time and money if I can not use the degree in the end. Any advice, ideas, suggestions on a pathway would be appreciated. (Please don't berate me because I don't want to be an RN. I only need advice and suggestions please!?)
