hi everyone...

I am an graduate nurse in NSW and currently holding a NSW licence. Indeed i have completed my degree in July 2007. Due to some family situations, I was unable to work as a RN right after my graduation until now. Unfortunatley I missed the application for new graduate program 2009 as well.

Now I am ready to work again. But I am very much concerned and panic of finding a job. Becoz obviously i DONT have much nursing expensive. Except few AIN experience while i was studying,,,i didnt work since last yr July.

So anybody could plz kindly give me some advice? I heard without graduate program u still can find a job. But i am wondering how? Do i need to back to agency to do some job related to nursing experience?

I need help!!

Hi Hanna,

I'm still a student, so I really can't offer any specific advice. But I cannot se why you cannot apply for jobs if you meet the selection criteria that is listed. Obviously it wouldn't hurt to have recent relevant experience though. I know a lot of hospitals have casual pools for nurses, and they are frequently looking for people. Maybe this could be your in? Otherwise the only other option I can think of is to wait until they do the intake for next August and apply for that.
