I submitted my application to AHPRA in November and am one of the many people who haven't yet been registered. I'm going overseas in a couple of days and am very worried that when I return and am supposed to commence my grad year, that I will still not be registered. I thought I'd be safe having a February start but after weeks and weeks of trying to get a response from AHPRA, when I finally got to speak with someone today I was told that it is not at this stage being assessed. This is despite the fact they sent me an email on January 10 saying it was being assessed. Now I'm tot he point they won't be able to make contact with me while I'm overseas if they need to. This whole process seems to be a shambles. I can't understand why there is not more political and media pressure being applied. Has anyone out there who was due to commence a grad year in early 2011 been adversely affected and what have you been able to do about it? Thanks guys.

I too submitted my application in November. I emailed multiple times and finally spoke with someone last week to be told it was in "process". They had not even deducted the fee from my credit card! They will give me no indication of when it might be done or when I can expect to be registered. I might add that after my phone call to AHPRA my credit card was deducted of the full fee! I know of girls who put their application in after me and have received their registration already but mine is in "process". They told me when I rang there was nothing wrong with it, no problems but it was being "processed" and they will not tell me why it has been sitting there since November 17th. It is absolutely ridiculous that it is taking this long!

Ki Kasey, When does your grad year start? Has this been a problem for you?
