I'm half way into my new graduate program and I hate it!! I'm burnt out and dread having to go to work! I have been offered a job at the same hospital and they want me to start ASAP. When I approached my coordinator she was concerned that thehospital wouldn't employ me if I don't finish the program, even though I have been with this hospital for four years. Has anyone else ever had a similar experience or left the program and found itdifficult to gain employment?

Hang in there Jellybeans.  Sometimes it can just be the ward that is difficult.  My friend did her graduate program - first 4 months in orthopaedics which she wasn't particularly happy about - some of the staff made life difficult, then her next 4 months were on (what she calls) "the guts n' bums ward" (gastro) which she LOVED because the staff were welcoming and continued to be fantastic.  Next she was moved to DPU which saw her nearly in tears - staff kept calling her "the student" despite the fact she was wearing the hospital uniform!  She approached the grad coordinator and told her she wanted to leave the graduate program as she was immensely unhappy in DPU.  The coordinator asked her where she would like to be and so she was put back on the "guts n' bums ward" and is finishing her GP.  Have you got a coordinator you can talk with? Communication, used wisely, is always a great tool.  Good luck - nothing worse that disliking going to work.

Also if it is the full time work that is making you feel burnt out, perhaps you could thinking of talking to the coordinator about dropping back a day or two?:-?
