Jerri, if you complete in november 2011, you start applying for grad program in september. The current opening for application is for those graduating mid year. If you submit your application now, you will be rejected and may also miss the september in take.Be sure to follow announcement from your Unis to alert you to when the website is opening for applications.

I suggest also to look for openings in private hospitals like the Ramsay group which also offers grad programs..you need to apply directly with them as the Queensland grad program is only for Qld's Health hospitals. If you are successful in your application for a grad program, you will tend to start early to mid february depending on respective hospital's program. Some offer 2 rotations some offer 3. Be prepared to apply in regional australia...there are very very limited positions available in Metropolitan Brisbane. Good luck and all the best in your journey

So it will all be over by november 2011. Do I apply now for this 'mid year intake' to start 2012? or is there another later this year that is for the beginning of 2012. I cannot find any clarification on qld health website. If it is for now, why do we apply for such jobs when we have not even finished our degree yet? it seems very early to apply for a grad program now for a 2012 position. I just don't get it. Any help would be GREAT! jerri
