Hi all,

Im sort of new to this whole study for exam thing... I feel like there is just too much information to be processed in such little time. I am studying my EN. If any one has any study tips. Any prep tips. Any specific tips that might be in the exam? Any thing at all just help boost my confidence, because at the moment i feel like theres just too much going on?

Anything will be appreciated, Thanks :)

Hi Liz,

Talk to your lecturer and review what the learning outcomes are for the A&P subject you are studying.

Your probably not expected to learn the entire text book in one semester. Once you get that clarified you'll be in a better position to study key areas.

Good luck with it!

Hi Liz

I'm in a similar situation to you with the whole over whelmed by study (especially A&P).

What I'm doing at the moment is learning the pictures in the text book. Obviously not all of them as that would be ridiculous, but just the main important ones. Obviously there is no chance that we are going to remember everything (that's why you only need 50% to pass :)).

From learning the pictures you inadvertently learn quite a bit more. When I say learn, I mean really learn. For instance with the heart, learn the diagrams of the heart both inside and out, learn where everything goes and what it does. Once you've done (took me an evening) that most of that large chapter dealt with. You will still need to learn some other stuff but by learning the pictures you learn loads more than you think you will.

This works for me as I need visual prompts to work from. If i'm not sure about something while I'm learning I look it up.

It also helps to set aside maybe an hour each week to go through all the pictures you have learn't as old information seems to disappear quite quickly.

People keep saying it but you need to find what works for you. This method is working wonders for me :)

Argh!

6 more days!

Have you got hold of past papers yet?

They are excellent, don't panic if you don't do well when working through them. Instead treat it as a learning exercise, what you don't get right, read in to.

Congratulations on passing, and so high as well.

You must be dead chuffed with yourself. Good on you.

That's a great score.
