CONGRATULATIONS! That is very exciting - you must be thrilled. I am looking into studying at that university externally once I have finished EN. If you can, please keep me updated with what the course is like. Are you studying externally or internally?

Hi Mopples! That sounds like it could be saving you a bit of money! I was looking at different sites for the books but I just ordered them from CDU in the end. Cost $610 tho! Nevermind, gotta have em! Will check post box soon they should be waiting for me I think. I am doing my cert III in aged care aswell so half way thru that but trying to get it finished asap so that I can get paid work at the home afterwards which will help with money and get hands on experience as I get thru the degree. Start first placement on Wed and each Wed until got the hours done to be assessed. Hopefully if I am going well with studies I might add another day, not sure yet.

Wow Banky thats expensive! How many subjects are you doing? Im only doing 2 for this semester and summer semester then looking at starting with 3 subjects [er semester.

My books cost about $145 all up for 3. I didnt purchase the core readings, ill just read them online and print off.

Also if your interested there is a group on facebook for nursing students.

Hi Mopples! Yeah just a tad exy...got them from the cdu bookshop, so all new. Was running out of time to get older ones from ebay etc. I have enrolled fulltime, so four units...have just marked out all the assignments due and done a weekly planner aswell to make sure I stay on top of things. LOTS of work ahead...have already started reading through lifespan textbook to get a head start and done two discussion posts ready for tomorrow. Will definitely check out facebook...thanks for letting me know!

Congrats those that got into CDU. I missed out ;( but have applied for next year. I would love to know what texts you are using so i can try and get some maybe 2nd had off textbook exchange or any other website etc. Good luck with studies , i did a graduate diploma in teaching at CDU last year and found the course structure really practical rather than overly theoretical and boring.
