Hi,

I have applied to Carrers Australia is Brisbane for the January 2010 intake for Diploma of Nursing. I actually live in Bundaberg so will be re-locating to Brisbane probably for the duration of the course, but possibly longer. I have a few questions that I was hoping someone out there might be able to answer for me.

1. What is your experience of Careers Australia?

2. Would you reccomend any accommodation nearby?

3. Where are people usually placed for the student placements?

4. How full on is the program?

Thank you for your help.

Danielle

Hi Ripcurl Girl,

I am actually very happy with my choice of course. But thanks.

Can you tell me a bit about the online version from Gold Coast? Do you have to go to the TAFE at all for Prac stuff? Where are you placed for placements? How much does the course cost? Is it still 18 months? Any other info???

Thanks Heaps

Danielle

Hi, I am not working in Brisbane but I started working in Melbourne as RN recently.

Working in Australia is really good and I feel really rewarded. :-)

I have stayed in Brisbane for 7months before I settled down in Melbourne.

I have heard that QLD is good place to work for health professionals because of shortage. Good luck.

If you go to http://www.medicareer.com.au/board/index.html?id=medicine&no=11, you will find some information for EN course.

As far as I know, the placement is different by TAFES/UNIS. I think, if you send e-mail to the course coordinator, she/he will let you know.

Cheers,

Hey Danielle, did you end up commencing your EN Diploma at Careers Australia? I did, would be keen to share thoughts on the matter.
