In Charles Sturt Uni, do they only accept those who are enrolled nurses for the distance education program for nursing?

Yes, either that or transfer from another uni with enough credits to cover the first year of their degree (this is how i have entered).

I am wanting to change to Charles sturt when Ive finished my first year subjects . Did they let you know what credit you got before you enrolled ? Ive done Patho with another Uni but not Pharma and wondering how I can get around the fact CSU have them combined .......Good luck with it

Pricilla, I would find it highly unlikely that they would credit for them. BMS who run those subjects are quite strict with the credits. I had done a physics/chem/microbiology, 2 x anatomy & physiology, path & pharma units as my science base units at CDU in comparison to CSU's 4 science base units (all the BMS units). I and the course coordinator really had to push for my credits for path & pharma as BMS were not going to give them to me as they didnt feel that I had enough science base. At CDU, we used the same pharma text and well every patho text is pretty much the same.

In the end they did give them to me, but it was a push.

I had to put in my application and send in a verified copy of my full academic transcript. I then also had to send the full course outlines for each of my completed units for assessment. The application itself went through fine, but the credit assessment process took around 5 or 6 weeks. The do not send out an offer etc until after they have assessed your credits as this is included in your offer letter. FYI, this is taking me an extra semester now as I have to do 4 placements (2 x 2nd year & 2 x 3rd year) and each placement unit is a pre-requisite to the next.
