Hi all,

I am currently studying a Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled Nurse). I love the course. At the moment, my fellows students and I are meant to be working in aged care for clinical placement. Unfortunately for me, I am not doing that but I need to do a work placement in aged care to pass my course and get my diploma.

What I'm posting about is the fact that I have a criminal record and my school has found me one place out of the whole of Melbourne and it's 2hours away from my house. So roughly that's about 4.5hrs travelling everyday for me. I live around the North West suburbs.

I'm wondering if anyone else is in a similiar situation and what might you be doing? Cause, I'm just not sure what to do.

I would love to do nursing but, I made a mistake.

Or does anyone know anyone out there that would possibly give me a second chance?

danii2011 (offline) Joined: Feb 2011 Location: Melbourne Posts: 51	Sep 30, 2011, 07:50 pm ooooh thats sounds a bit rought :( I would def give AHPRA a call to confirm because you might have problems registering as a div2 when your done especially if your criminal record has to do with fraud or violence. wish you the best of luck!
