A few factors may need to be considered.

A bonus is you are in the system so this will help a great deal when you choose the direction you want to go in and it will also assist you with course work as you will be familiar with the hospital environment.

Div2 (EEN) 1 1/2 years Vs Div1 (RN) 3 years study time.

Your financial situation may assist you to decide, meaning can you afford to be a part time worker for 1 1/2 or 3 years.

I'm the same age as you and have just graduated as an RN (Div1) and having a bit of time up in a hospital and a bit of life experience helped a great deal. Personally, I would aim high and go for a RN (Div1) and get the degree.

Having said that, EEN (Div2) is also a respected and highly valued position to hold and their scope of practice is increasing all the time.

RN (Div1) level qualification does open up alot more doors though and by having your degree you can get work wherever you want. It may also mean you get better support when doing your prac placements and have a greater chance of getting the job you want when you finish.Plus the pay is better.

All the very best of luck mate

Cheers

No worries,

Whatever course you choose it will present challenges. Financially I struggled through but saying that, the time did go pretty quickly.

Just a quick suggestion, on a piece of paper write down why you want to do nursing and what you want to achieve as a direct goal when doing the course. Keep it handy and use it as motivation to get the course done. Don't let anyone sway your decision as this is something you are doing for yourself.

Cheers
