Hi folks.
Am wondering who is doing their Div 2 online PT starting in August?
Im from Victoria, so anyone looking to save on accommodation costs and maybe *apartment share* for the 2 weeks of Residential Training in January, might want to drop me a line.
Im 38, returning to study after being a stay at home Mum for the past 20 years.
Im not new to study or work. Ive done bits and pieces of both as time has gone on. Now it is time to do something positive for myself and nursing is exactly what I want to do.
Looking forward to meeting more of you as time goes on.

Hello Daemri,

I'm doing Div 2 online PT starting in August too - look forward to meeting you at the residential colleges:)   I live in Brisbane (southside) so I will just be commuting each day.  Hope you find someone you can share accommodation with.

I am 45 and changing careers (currently a teacher aide)  have wanted to be a nurse since my teens, so I'm finally following my dreams.  I am the mother of 3 teens (2 boys and a girl) I work part time and will continue to do so while completing the course.

I am hoping to also to the part-time, so am also looking for someone, or more people to share the costs of accomdation in January.  As soon as I get accepted I will be looking for acomdation, as it is school holidays and I am sure will be very busy.

I am travelling from NSW, but drop me an email if anyone wanting to share costs : julie.sloan@bigpond.com

Hey guys!!

I am also doing the same course through GCIT but I am full time, no doubt we will be starting off with same subjects etc!  So excited can't wait!  I am currently working as a Phlebotomist/Cord Blood Collector, so this course will supplement that.  We are awesome and will get through this!

Hi All,

My name is Danielle. I live in Bundaberg and have chosen to enrol in the P/T Online Diploma of Nursing Program starting in August. I have just received my confirmation of enrolment today and am so excited.

I am 28 years old and have done study here and there. I completed STEPS here in Bundaberg through the CQUniversity which has given me the equivalency of year 12.

I have wanted to become a nurse ever since leaving year 11 at high school but have had some other things get in the way.

I can't wait to get started in August and like a couple of you have mentioned I will be requiring accommodation down at the Gold Coast for the January Residential School so sharing could be a good option. Anyone who is interested can let me know.

I hope to hear from you all some more.

Regards Danielle

Hi everyone,

I'm Paul, live in Melbourne and have two young kids.  I am already enrolled as a part time student at GCIT in the March intake (Group J).  Due to a recurrent workplace injury, I was not able to attend Residential School in September (not medically cleared to attend), and as such I have completed my studies and theory assessments in this semester, but will attend Residential School, pending medical clearance, in January to complete the rest of the workshops and practical assessments.  I will then remain in Group K to complete the course.

I look forward to meeting everybody in Group K in January - especially those of us from Melbourne.  We may be able to meet up afterwards to help each other with our studies.
