Am in 2nd semester of E.E.N. and am a mature aged student. I work in an Aged Care facility. Any other mature age EEN students out there??????? sometimes I feel like a dinosaur.

Do not feel that you are a dinosaur, dinosaurs don't seek to learn and develop. As a nurse manager I love to employ the more mature graduates, because I have found that they just love nursing. Often it is because it is a 2nd or 3rd career which they have wanted to do, but didn't because of the kids or whatever. So, be proud of your ability and love of learning. I am sure that you elderly patient's love you. Joanne

There is so much to learn and it's exciting. Passed one of my exams and am waiting for results on my 2nd exam. It's nice to have positive response to being an older student nurse, and yes, I just love looking after others, especially in the aged care sector. Again, thanks
