Hi all,
I would like to become a nurse but I've been having a bit of a tough time trying to decide what course to do. I've narrowed it down to either a Master of Nursing (graduate entry) from USyd or a Bachelor of Nursing from UTS.
I would really appreciate student opinions about the two courses, such as experience, difficulty and intensity (especially in relation in the Master).
If there are any RNs out there reading this, how do you feel about the master course and it's shorter duration?
I have finished a BA and have down 2 years from a bachelor of podiatry which covered pathophysiology, anatomy, biomedicine and pharmacology.
It's making my brain a little fuzzy from trying to figure out which is the best for me. :S
Many thanks!

Hey Cess :)

I think you'll need to do the Bachelor of Nursing first anyway ... which makes the choice easy!

Since the Masters is a 'graduate entry', you'll need to be a Bachelor of Nursing 'graduate' to apply for it. I'm not sure if this is the case at USyd, but other Masters programs also require 5 years experience in a specialist nursing field. I also have a BA but had to start from the start. You'll at least get credit for your podiatry subjects though!

Cheers :)
