Hi I would like to know what kind of things would I be learning...I know quite a lot of A&P and I may even get into 2nd year as have 3 nursing TAFE courses and am currently working as an AIN for an agency. I'm worried it will be too hard for me as I am an older student. Although I hear it is not all essays these days..any ideas? Cheers cathy

HI sydneymum14, I am a first year nursing student and I am mature age and also have 2 children. I found first semester fairly difficult, but that was because of the biology. If you know your A & P then that would be a really good start. There is a lot assignments in first semester, I am only in my first week of second semester so I can't really say how it is, but we have a fair bit of prac which is good. If you have previous experience I think you will not have too hard a time. Go for it if it's what you want you will be able to do it.
