There are a few nursing text book groups on FB (nursing text book buy and sell, and Nursing Health/Science text books for Uni students). Also I have joined a couple of groups for the provider I am studying with, often books being sold by older students, or those who have dropped out, defered or transferred courses etc. There is also ebay and gumtree, or textbook exchange.

Hi guys while I can't help you out much with text books.
I can give you a good heads up if you want to give yourselves a good start.
The minute you get your anatomy and physiology book crack it open and get started on learning about the body systems :) it's one of the first subjects we covered in term one and it felt like climbing a mountain (especially considering I didn't have any form of science/biology background).
(Extra tip, there is a link at the back of the chapters in the review section, which is kind of good for practice too.)
Also you may want to check out the documents on the NMBA website and look at documents about: EN competency standards and EN registration standards. (This is seriously advice I wish I'd known whilst twiddling my thumbs over summer.)
As for text books, I can try and ask around and direct people here but I can't make any promises on that one sorry :(
