~GULP~

Well folks - i have as of this morning been offered a place at GCIT, to start on Monday!

I seriously didnt think i was going to get an offer in this round, and doubted i would even make it for the July intake - but here I am - with a HUGE coffee at my side, my stomach firmly lodged in my throat, and the place where my stomach used to be, is now inhabited with butterflies!

What on earth have i DONE!?!?!? I am a 45 yr old mother of 7 for petes sake!

Ok, deeeeep breath..... i CAN do this!

First question for everyone - does anyone know of reasonably priced accommodation in the GC area, close to the tafe? The first (tentative date for) residential will be in September, so i have a lil while to find somewhere....

Thanks all - and advices on everything and anything are encouraged & appreciated!!

Congrats on your place. I'm in Melbourne so can't help with accom but just want to let you know I turn 46 next month and am in my second year of Bachelor of Nursing. My eldest child started Uni the same year as me. It's hard work - no getting around that - but all of the mature aged students at my uni are doing very well; better than the school leavers actually. Your life experience will help you on your clinical placements. My buddies always assume I am a Div 2 but I've never nursed in my life - it's just I've raised a family. Make sure you get enough rest, have time with your family and treat your degree as a full-time job and I'm sure you'll be a star.
