Hi fellow nursing students, I will be going to Broken Hill for my last placement in Oct 2011 for 5 weeks. Id just like to know if any one will be doing this placement, as id like to make new friends while I am there. Kellie.

Hi, I go to UWS at Campbelltown. I cant wait to go to Broken Hill, I know a few students that went last year and they said it was great. Why are you worried about going?

Has the RN been there? I will be getting heaps of experience as I will be in emergency, community, Surgery, and get to go with the Ambo. I would not listen to her unless she has gone there herself. I would just go with what I want to do, and go with my heart. I know others from last year who said they had a great time, so I am not changing my mind at all. Do what YOU want to do.

Sounds good, I know in rural hospitals they have to be multiskilled because it is a small town. I look forward to meeting you. What date are you going and how are you getting there?
