I have just read on the Nurses Board of Victorian site that Vic students can gain DIV 2 registration after completing year 2 of their Bach.Nursing (plus possibly a safe medication module) and want to know if South Australia has a similar arrangement?

Hi there,

Have you tried ringing your nurses board or emailing them in regards to this? It is even a possibility that your university will know the answer to that question too. I would probably make a few phone calls or send off some emails and just ask the question.

Hopefully it's the same cos that would be good!

Good luck getting the answers you want.

Yeah, I've emailed the Nurses Board of S.A and they haven't replied. I will now try contacting someone from uni by phone, seeing as I'm external and don't attend campus. I'm surprised it's so hard to find this info out though. With the Vic nurses board it was really easy.

Hey There,

as far as Iam aware, and I have friends who have done it this way whilst completing there RN Training. Once you have finished 2nd year, if you take proof from ur uni, and also ur clinical reports i think, and a few other things in, then u can enroll as a EGN. then 12 months later you can re visit and upgrade so to speak to RN :P

Hope this helps,

Aaron

PS, Emailing the NBSA is like finding a needle in a haystack lol, best to ring them, quicker responce :)
