Hi, I am currently a student at UQ but studying architecture. I've had a seeeerious change of heart and really want to do Nursing instead. BUT I have not done any of the pre-requisites to get into nursing at UQ. I would really like to start studying at the beginning of next year but the time it would take for me to do a bridging course would mean I could only start at the beginning of the year after because I have made this decision so late into the year.
However, QUT doesn't have any pre-reqs and I could easily apply now and start at the beginning of next year.
I really love being at UQ and would like to stay, and I also know that it has a great reputation especially for nursing. I just want to know if that reputation is so good that I should take a year off uni to do the bridging course/s (Bio, Chem and/or Physics) or if in the long-run it really doesn't matter and I should just switch to QUT.
Many pros and cons and a lot of confusion.
Thanks so much!!
PS. I know many choose QUT over UQ because nursing is done at the UQ Ipswich campus, however from next year it'll be at St Lucia so this is not a factor for me.
