Hi, doing cert 2 thru corespondence and finding some of the scenarios a little challenging as I havnt worked in aged care yet,any help would be appreciated

SCENARIO;You are an assistant in nursing in a high care facility and Mrs Lewis is your most recent admission.She has had a broken hip and is only able to stand and bear weight not move around independently.A widower for 10 years without children her social life has relied heavily on neighbours and her church.The parish she attended is very close to the nursing home and she is keen to continue attending services and to meet with her friends there.

What straregies would you develop and implement to ensure her social and church network is maintained?

What is the outcome for Mrs Lewis if the network is not maintained and what would you do to compensate?

We can check Mrs. Lewis care plan and can introduce a activity where she can attend the services and she can meet her friends. We also need to arrange a wheelchair for her so that she dont have to move. introducing activities like light exercise would be encouraging her mobility.
