HI. I am planning to do certificate 3 in aged care on part time basis. My few friends have done that but I dont have any experience in Nursing but i want to make my carrier in this feld. The course that i am planning to do will be like 3 days a month. N then I they will give m workbook to do my assignements and modules. and they will provide 2 weeks experience. So i am little confused that will I get job after doing this part time course Or i have to first work without Pay for sometime ?? please help me. Thanks in advance.

I don't think you'll be able to work until you complete the course and obtain the statement off attainment from the education institution. Once you have the certificate, I'd say you'll be able to apply for any AIN/Certificate III position.

Hi leesienurse .yes i will complete the course. They will give training for 3 days and then 2 weeks experience. Then i have to complete modules and workbook that they will send me. after all of this they will give me certificate 3. So i just wanna know will it be possible for me to get job without much experience. thanks for your reply.

Yes, you just need to show at interview that you are passionate about the care of your clients, willing to learn, reliable, etc. If you tell them you have just completed your course, this should not put them off as most places are willing to teach and the staff will show you the ropes pretty quickly. Just make sure you are prepared with some questions and answers at interview! Lisa
