Hi guys i am 27 and volunteer in aged care lately i have been feeling thats all i want to do and hang around to the point its well not, i also choose somehting else but looking for other areas and stuff to do, do u think 27 is young to be in it and what do u guys suggest i feel likes its taking over .

NO answer to your question never to young.. We have students from high school who visit our facility, offering to become volunteers. Have you considered doing your cert 3 .. It is a start.. And opens up other avenues..Look in to it ..

Yeah I would suggest cert 3 or cert 4 in aged care if thats what you are really interested in doing. You are not too young at all. I did alot of age care work when I was in year 12. I think its great your so interested and nursing homes are always looking for more workers, like any health care facility. All the best

Hi Sun Chick! I've been working in Aged Care since I was 17, I had to fight with my school advisor to do my certificate in year 10 but I did it and then left to be an aged care nurse. I'm now 21 and still love my job! So i definately agree in getting your certificate, you may aswell earn some money doing what you love :] Hope you work it out! xx
