Hey Everyone I am studying a diploma of nursing through a regional tafe campus, my journey has been a struggle because I was never the brightest student at school and some paerts of the course I cannot get my head around. I have struggles immensly with legal and ethical for nursing I will be doing my third attempt on subject for summer school and I have failed planning and implementing care plans. I had a disccusion with one of my trainers and she pointed out nursing is naot for everyone and maybe to reconsider my optons, feeling frustrated because I wanted to be a nurse since I was in shool and feel this is my only opportunity. I am studying externally as it is the only way I can atm does anyone have any suggestion is University on campus a better option and is there more support or there are other nursing schools like careers australia in adelaide or RDNS that are better for people like me

Regards

Melissa

Hey Melissa,

I'm sure that if you're determined you will be able to do it!  On many campuses there is more support for learning and student led study groups, teachers aids, etc.  Have you considered a tutor or mentor to help you through the coursework?  If the tafe program has students ahead of you in the program maybe one of them would be willing to study with you or help you through the tough coursework as a tutor.  Good luck and keep trying!
