Hi everyone,
We are a newly formed Student Society (Society of Undergraduate Nurses - SUN) for the student nurses at QUT, with the aim of fostering a social atmosphere, academic support and career opportunities which are all sorely lacking from our program, which accommodates approximately 1,800 undergraduate and postgraduate students.
We've got a number of ideas about what we'd like to run during the year including social events, a graduate opportunities evening and academic assistance for the first and second year, and ESL students who may be struggling.
We're currently in the process of attempting to contact companies that may be interested in sponsoring us in return for the exposure they would gain to the large nursing cohort of our university. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which companies they believe might be interested or that they know are good with helping out undergraduate students.
Thank you in advance and we am more than happy to answer any questions anyone might have about this venture of ours (It's also an affiliated society with our university guild, meaning there will be an audit of the financial transactions throughout the year and that all proceeds will be remaining within the club to further the activities and services we can provide)
