Hello everyone I hope you are all good today: D I am new to the forum I hope I get some help and advice to what I am after. Nursing has being my dream since I was in year nine and will continue to follow my dream until I get to it, hopefully. I have set the VETASSES but, due to my weak math skills I failed it. I got 24/40 for literacy and 11/24 in numeracy.Now I know it’s a bad mark but however at least I had a good try! I also think I was too young (18) and I didn’t have a high academic level. It was a shock to me at first but then I got over it and learnt that failure could be the first step to success. So this semester I am just finishing my certificate III in childcare work. Next semester I am planning to do the aged care cert III course and build up my academic level, then apply for nursing again in 2011, but I am afraid if I fail again and won’t reach the score which (RMIT UNI) requires. I have done a bridging course but I did'nt find it very helpful to my needs. My dears, your help, suggestions and advice would be much appreciated. Cheers, Roukaya

i think doing a cert III in aged care is a good way to introduce yourself in the area... although having said that i also think that you do need to study in order to achieve a good score. i know that chisholm tafe does a course for those without a year 12 certificate which then you can go straight into div 2... it takes longer but if nursing is what you want to do then go for it!

Thanks jaf.Could you please tell me the name of the course.I have done VCAL year 12-which isn't a lot of knowledge or something that would get me into nursing. Do you think the Certificate IV in Science would be a good course for my situation.
