I'm confused?? Please help!

I have just started my EEN at Gold Coast Tafe. It's 18 months full time, but I've been told not to bother and just do my RN at uni as the pay is heaps more. Does anyone know what the pay is like for an EEN compared to an RN on average?

Also, they are pluggin us with aged care units because obviously they need more in that area, however, I don't want to be spending time on something I am not interested in pursuing later.

Also what are the lecturers like at Griffith on the GC?

There have been some major issues here at the tafe....

Assuming you'll be working for QLD health, pay rates can be found here http://www.health.qld.gov.au/hrpolicies/wage_rates/nursing.asp

RN's do get paid more, but they also assume more responsibility, have to do a degree that's longer than the TAFE course and of course pay back a HECS debt.

hello helena ! It is required pluggin with aged care unit no matter you are doing EEN or RN. RN's do have heaps more responsibility with more pay than EEN's. In Brisbane you could do EEN TAFE full time for one year and after you will have another two years doing RN in Uni.
