Has anyone done their EN through Careers Australia - I have just started mine, and want to know how others are finding it? I'm doing it externally.

Hi Jadeh,

I am in the process of applying for the January intake of the Diploma of Nursing. I currently live in Bundaberg but have chosen to move to Brisbane for the program and hopeful a graduate program after. I was lucky enough to have a phone interview with the head of the "college of healthcare" this morning. She told me that I was accepted and that I will just need to fill out some paperwork, have some needles and have a police clearance and then I will start on Monday the 11th of January.

I am very excited though I am a bit aprehensive about looking for accommodation in Brisbane. I'm not sure whether I should go shared, private, homestay or what I should do. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Does anyone have any experience with Careers Australia?? They sound great on the phone!!

Thank you to anyone who can help me.

Hi everybody,

I have decided to hopefully start my Diploma of Nursing in the April intake through Careers Australia in Brisbane.

I wanted to know if there were other Careers Australia students out there that could give me a little info on the 18 month program? The intensity? The quality? The support? Basically any info would be great!!!

I look forward to your replies.

Hi Danielle

I, too, am starting my EEN in April through Careers Australia,Brisbane. I am doing it at the Wesley Hospital rather than on campus at Fortitude Valley. Are you too?

Cheers

Vicki

Hi , I have looked in to the distant ed Enrolled nursing courses and they are so expensive? Do any have HECS ? How do you afford them ?do you pay it weekly ? Where i spoke to said $10,000 . So if i do that is it then another $12,000 to do my RN's at uni ? Or is it less expensive to just start with my RN's with HECS ? Sorry for so many Q's just not sure what way to go about it ? Im doing a bridging course to get into uni at the moment ....
Thanks
