Hello everyone,
im sitting the Vetassess exam for enrolled nursing and have been looking at the test questions examples. Im stressing over the essay part of the test so was wanting to know of some examples of the topics that are chosen for the essay and wondering if they are all nursing related or general topics?
Anyone who has sat this test if you could give me examples of your chosen topic in the exam would be much appreciated.

Cheers Nique

In my vetasses test the essay topics were related to a sceranrio you had to read thru. One was about depression and the other quit smoking. You read the scenario and they asked you a question about what you read and then you had to write about it. YOu dont need any medical knowledge it was all about your understanding of what you had read.

Dont worry I am sure you will be fine. Best of luck

hi! i completed the vetasses last year for the entry into my cert. iv in nursing.

one of the essays i completed last year was "if you had a son or daughter who was a competitive athlete and found out that they had started smoking, how would you approach the situation and convince them of the health complications which would arise if they were continue" - well something around those lines, but just relax it really isn't that hard and mostly is common sense! good luck!!

Hi Nique,

I sat my vetassess about 2 months ago, my essay topics were; write a letter to a family member or friend convincing them to give up smoking and the consequences of being a smoker, the other one was if you had a family that moved into the neighbourhood who couldn't speak english how would you help them? Another one I've come across is, If you were confined to a bed for a long period of time, what qualities would you like you're carer to have?

You don't need any prior knowledge for the essays but make sure you write neatly and spell correctly. Also make sure you punctuate properly!

Good luck!
