ava (offline) Joined: Apr 2012 Location: Posts: 1	Thu Apr 12, 2012 8:04 am Has anyone noticed in NSW how that the wage gap between an RN and an EN has widened. I have been nursing for 30 years .The gap used to about a one third more for RN's and that has increased to one half more yet we are now doing nearly the same work. If the gap had always been the same I would not have noticed.A mothercraft nurse gets way more than us.

enigma (offline) Joined: May 2009 Location: Posts: 72	Apr 17, 2012, 07:31 am Doesn't a mothercraft nurse have to train for about 7 years or something, whereas and EN is only 12-18 mths. Are you medication endorsed? Have you thought of becoming an RN so you can take advantage of the wage gap?
