Hi im looking for somewhere that offers either the dip or cert iv div 2 nursing course in sydney. Can any one help me with this as i dont seem to be having any luck. All i can find is the Tafe plus course which costs 10500! Would appreciate any feedback you have.

Hey

I am enrolled in the new dip program at TAFE in sydney , It starts August 17. Cert 3 is no longer offer in nsw, its now diploma so that you are able to work australia wide on being registered as an enrolled nurse. Nsw use to train enrolled nurse like an apprentiship but it was costing too much. Now you have 2 options pay 10,000 through TAFE plus or attempt to get one of the 200 scholarship places offer NSW wide that pay the fees, next intake is in feb. My TAFE had 27 scholarship positions. I got a place, was amazed as there was over 300 people at the info session i went to. I would suggest applying at as many different tafes as possible. Please msg me if you need any info.

Hi There, I am in the same prediciment, I have recently moved back to NSW from Perth 5 or 6 weeks ago after living there 3 years, i have recently (this year) completed 6 months of Enrolled Nursing in Perth this was the 1st semester, i knew all about the rubbish that was going on in NSW with the Nursing, its so stupid we are all screaming out for nurses yet they charge so much to do the course. I thought i could get a job in an aged care facility as an AIN but nooo most of them you have to have a Cert 3 in aged care, i know how to wipe someone bum and shower someone and look after them. So im stuck as a cleaner/bed maker in a aed care facility and i dont see the point in doing my AIN because it costs so much, i wish i could just continue my nursing and im furious,.
