I already did my Vetassess exam and was going to go to the info night @ Chisholm tonight, but since my score wasn't that good i already know i won't get a look in from them so i am not going to bother. I am pinning my hopes on Health Train.

There was loads of people there last night and there is another session next week so needless to say the competion for places is strong. With only 25 full time and 25 part time places at Berwick and same at Frankston one might be forgiven for wondering what the state government is doing to address the nurse shortages the media keep going on about!

Hi holsdad,
you said that you sat the vetassess @ Chisholm you said that you sat the vetassess test at Chisholm....what was it like? Were there many questions on converting fractions to decimals, and fractions to percentages? I am sitting my vetasses this week and have been studying, but I have to admit that I am finding those two math concepts a struggle. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Nurseliz,

If you look on the general vetassess thread there is a very good post by jules74 which gives an excellent description of what is in the exam and is definitely worth a read.
The maths is multiple choice and there is a whole variety of questions. My paper only had a small number of questions involving fractions, decimals & percentages so I wouldn't worry too much, especially as you can take a guess and can still do well on the other questions.
