Possy78, I'm thinking of enrolling in the EEN November, online with Gold Coast Tafe. I was told to ring back in September, I was wondering whether you've started the process rolling yet?? I'm in Sydney, where are you located? Are you studying part time or full time?

Hi Girls, I am starting in August with Gold Coast online, I am a bit concerned with the cost and having to pay for accommodation for the residentials, but studying online suits me, just hope I can juggle work family etc. So far they have been helpful, looking forward to starting, anyone else starting in August?

Hi Penelope,
I am in NSW, I think I will start off part time to see how i go, I don't want to get too overwhelmed. Where are you from? Do you have your ain already or any experience? I am hoping it isnt going to be too hard, although face to face class would be better..Cheers Sandra.

Hi Penelope, I'm on the gold coast... I have spoken to the tafe about the November intake, and they told me to submit my application in October. I'm planning to do full time study, but im considering maybe part time might be a good option to start with... I have started getting things organized as far as police checks, blue card, first aid and Hep shoots.. so when it's time to do my application i have all the other stuff sorted already and one less thing to think about... so you say your in Sydney..?? This may sound silly. but how will you be doing your prac and clinical..?? I think if you really want something you will strive to get it.... hope everything goes well for you..Reagan :)

Hi guys, I', in Sydney and plan to fly up to the Gold Coast for the residentials (I think that's what you call them - exams) and I can do the prac in Sydney. I've completed my cert 3 in aged care and have been working in the aged care industry for the last 3 years, I started a Bachelor of Applied Social Science last year but I found it really hard (3 kids, 2 at school and 1 at home) and also working two days, I also had a rethink of what I wanted to do. Keep me posted Possy78 and Sandracl on how you get on.

Hi Veez Beez, I was going to do the August intake, but i decided to do the November intake instead.. so i rang the tafe and they told me on the phone that were doing another intake in November. You have to have the application in by October... i have a 3 yr old and my husband and i are trying to figure out how my study and family and work are going to fit in with our schedule..!! u should ring the tafe and have a chat with them.. good luck :)

Hi Penelope, Wow your super mum..!! that's a lot of work for you.. i have a 3 yr old she is at kindy 2 days a week and my husband is a chef. The only way im able to do this course is to work nights and study on the days my daughter is at kindy.. and run a household... i was going to do aged care but my brother is a RN and told me about this course. In the first semester they do aged care. so im going try and get some experience in age care whilst doing this course.. i hope for the best that it works out for us all.. :)
