Div 1 in the future?

berridale (offline) Joined: Jun 2007 Location: Posts: 3	Wed Jun 18, 2008 8:06 pm Hi All, Just thinking about doing my Division 1 nursing. Can someone tell me what the role of a Division 1 nurse is foreseen to be in the future? I am told that it will be mostly manger and office roles? Has anyone else heard this? Is there anywhere I can get info regarding this. I would love to be a Division 1 nurse as there role is at the moment, but staying a Division 2 nurse is more appealing if division 1 nurses are heading towards more paperwork..... I have looked on the NBV for info but have not been able to find alot. I am in the country also, so division 2 nursing is not as wide spread here as in the city. Thanks, berridale

However I am not sure how long those changes (if they happen) will take to occur. I am with you though. As an EN we get alot of pt contact and get to do alot of different things....but I too am thinking of my Div 1. Yet I hesitate cos I would like to remain nursing the way it is now and I dont want to end up in management. I really dont know how it will turn out ...i guess time will tell.
